On the heels of an autumn which included the 9/11 attack on his home city and a plane crash just a few blocks from his studio in Belle Harbor, Patrick opened the New Year on the bright note of a successful show at New York's storied Plaza Hotel. This summer (2002), Patrick was scheduled to show his work at The Plaza Hotel as part of the New York Independent Art Fair.  For security reasons related to a hotel visitor, the entire show had to be moved the the Saint Regis Hotel on Fifth Avenue at 55th Street.  The affair was a smash, despite the move.  The four blocks were apparently no barrier to those collectors and others who appreciate great art.
