Early Antonelle Found
Recently, we were contacted by Mike
Langer, an art appreciator who acquired a family heirloom long adorning his
parents' home. Surfing the web with only the signature on the bottom
of the painting to guide him, he found our site and inquired. After a
couple round trip e-mails, Patrick Antonelle was able to confirm that the
painting was one of his earlier works, probably dating to the late 60's or
early 70's. A still life in the style of Manet and Cezanne, one might
notice a conspicuous use of a palette knife in addition to the gentle brush
strokes Patrick long ago mastered. Mr. Langer was kind enough to send
files with which we proudly add to the record of Patrick's portfolio we are
building up.
We invite other
collectors who own works of Patrick not yet displayed to contact us.
